Mr. yellerbelly, I am coming to Poland later this month. Warsaw and Krakow. Want to pick your brain on the food front. Good inventive Polish food, good old milk bar/old school grub, fancy schmancy dining experiences...I want it all. Any recommendations? Am with 2 other friends while in Warsaw, by myself in Krakow. We're young-ish, single, and ready to play!

It looks pretty dangerous and extreme, but if you have all the right equipment and you maintain it properly it really is safe. Its the guys that never check their ropes for any damage who never go through their checklists of safety procedures and rush through things are the ones who end up falling. But just like everything, sometimes things break and being that high you dont stand a chance.

Pole Mokotowskie, my god it's a long time since I was there. It's looking a lot sprucer that last time I saw it. Are the Bolek and Lolek pubs still there?

I wonder if these poor chaps make a decent living out of this cleaning-climbing business...

Hi Chris - they do say it's a small world!

I was born in Louth and spent most of my life in Lincoln. Tattershall would be somewhere between the two I believe. In fact you can see Tattershall Castle from my parent's place. It's a lovely area, but a little quiet on the job front - in fact on all fronts!

I work in the centre and my boss is Scottish, but he has a love of railways and particularly manual signalling. Only 2 months ago, he took the train with some friends to Boston through Sleaford etc just for the experience. We are not alone. There's just no escaping Lincolnshire :)

Hope you like the blog and thanks for saying hello.

Nice Blog.

Where about in Lincs are you from? I live just south of Warsaw but spent most of the last 20 years in Tattershall / Coningsby, before moving here with my Polish wife. Whilst not a Yellowbelly myself, my daughter is and has the (mis)? fortune to have 'Fishtoft' on her birth certificate.

It's good to know there's another Brit out there.

Regards
