Who am I?
I am a Brit currently living in Warsaw with my wife and two young sons. We have lived in Poland for nearly two years, during which time son No. 2 was born here in Warsaw (a true Warszawiak!).
When I left the UK, I promised myself that I would keep a diary of my time here and the new and exciting sights, smells and tastes of Polish culture as I experienced them. These have been somewhat overwhelming and I have not had the time to put my thoughts in writing….until now.

The origin of the name has been discussed over a pint of Lincolnshire ale for many years and it is widely believed that there is no single answer. However, these include a species of newt found locally with a yellow belly, sun burnt stomachs on the local farmers, sheep grazing in mustard fields and the colour of the waistcoats of the local Regiment of the Royal North Lincolnshire Militia formed pre-1685. Either way, this is where it is:

Bloggers meeting, 29th Nov., Warsaw. An opportunity to bitch and moan to each other in person. You are cordially invited (that means you have to bring cordial). Ian known more or you can find my email on the Polandian page.
Mr. yellerbelly, I am coming to Poland later this month. Warsaw and Krakow. Want to pick your brain on the food front. Good inventive Polish food, good old milk bar/old school grub, fancy schmancy dining experiences…I want it all. Any recommendations? Am with 2 other friends while in Warsaw, by myself in Krakow. We’re young-ish, single, and ready to play!
